Our association
CSD Leipzig e.V. was founded on 6 January 2023 by 23 founding members – including co-organisers of the first Christopher Street Day in Leipzig over 30 years ago.
In memory of the 1969 Stonewall riots on Christopher Street in New York, the first Christopher Street Day (CSD) was also held in Leipzig on 28 June 1992: organised by a broad alliance of queer volunteers, associations and employees of the city of Leipzig. In the following years, this action alliance continued to grow and established itself as a regular series of events with the aim of promoting equal rights and acceptance of ways of living and loving outside of the heterosexual or binary norm. The action alliance was and is always anchored in the queer association structure of our city and was logistically supported in particular by RosaLinde Leipzig e.V., which is now being replaced by the newly founded association. Leipzig Pride has always worked with grassroots democratic structures, which is why the board of the CSD Leipzig e.V. should also recognise these structures and take their majority opinion into account in its work and implement it wherever possible.
The members of the association are committed to the already established structure and working methods of Leipzig Pride, involving the queer community of our city as well as actors from other associations, institutions and parties. Participation in the plenum as the central planning and decision-making body as well as in the individual teams is open to all people who share our demands and values and is not linked to membership of CSD Leipzig e.V..

We welcome any form of support for CSD Leipzig and are always looking for energetic helpers, idea providers and experts who want to fight together to achieve our demands. If you would like to support the Leipzig CSD, there are a variety of options available to you: from making a donation to participating in the plenary sessions and working in the individual teams to becoming a member of the association.
An organisation thrives on togetherness and we would be delighted if you became a member too. Membership of CSD Leipzig e.V. is open to anyone aged 16 and over. The membership fee is 60 euros per year. Further information can be found in our statutes and membership regulations.
We want to make access to our structures as barrier-free as possible. To become a member, all you need to do is fill out our online application form and you’re ready to go.
The online application form is provided by our association management software easyVerein. Therefore, you will land on a different website if you follow the link. By completing the online application form, you help us to save paper and simplify our administrative processes. Alternatively, you can also download the classic application as a PDF, fill it out, sign it and send it back to us. Both methods are available for both ordinary and supporting members. Please note that minors must always complete a written application with the consent of their legal representatives!

CSD Deutschland e.V.
We expressly support the networking and cooperation of queer movements and organisations in Germany. For this reason, we are a member of CSD Deutschland e.V. We are happy to exchange ideas with other Prides and are convinced that we can only achieve our common goals if we learn from and support each other.
